Description

Cassina’s Capitol Complex lounge chair is a true design classic, bringing its timeless elegance to both dining rooms and workspaces alike. Originally designed by Pierre Jeanneret for the Capitol Complex in Chandigarh, India, the chair was part of a visionary architectural project led by his cousin Le Corbusier, who designed several of the city’s public buildings.

The Capitol Complex chair features a solid oak frame paired with a leather seat, offering a combination of durability and sophistication. The V-shaped legs add a striking architectural element while ensuring stability, making the lounge chair a refined yet functional addition to any space.

Pierre Jeanneret

Pierre Jeanneret (1896–1967) was a Swiss architect and designer, best known for his long-term collaboration with his cousin Le Corbusier. Together, the duo created numerous influential modernist architecture and design projects that left a lasting impact on both modern architecture and furniture design. Jeanneret is particularly recognised for his contributions to the urban planning of Chandigarh, India, where he led the design of public buildings with their interiors. His iconic teak and woven cane furniture remains highly sought after, seamlessly combining timeless aesthetics with practicality.

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

We offer free shipping on small items for orders over
150 €.

For large items, free shipping applies to orders over 3000 €.

“Small item” refers to parcels under 80 cm in length or weighing less than 25 kg. Larger or heavier shipments are classified as “Large item deliveries” (see below).

Please note that the free shipping thresholds stated above may not apply in certain cases. In such situations, any applicable shipping fees will be clearly displayed at checkout.

Large item delivery charge range from 29 € to 149 €  and is automatically calculated and displayed on the product page and at checkout. The exact cost is confirmed once your delivery address has been entered.

Large item delivery charges apply to any single parcel with a side longer than 80 cm or weighing more than 25 kg.

Please note that exceptions to these fees may apply to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of large or delicate items. In such cases, the final delivery cost will be displayed at checkout.

  • Level 2: Free shipping for orders over 129 €
  • Level 3–4: Free shipping for orders over 99 €

Exclusions apply: For large item deliveries, an additional surcharge is applied based on your location and the size and weight of your shipment.
