Niemeyer

Niemeyer, published by Taschen, represents the career of the architect Oscar Niemeyer (1907-2012), one of the most significant figures of modern architecture. The Brazilian architect's extensive career covers seven decades and more than 600 buildings, which includes almost all public structures of Brasília. This book provides a compact insight into his unique, sensual and modernist, even futuristic, projects and works. 

Written by Philip Jodidio, the book is part of Taschen's Basic Architecture series that presents the life and work of internationally renowned architects with approximately 120 photographs, sketches and drafts. The series has been edited by German art historian Peter Gössel.
