The Air sideboard, designed by Mathieu Gustafsson for Design House Stockholm, merges together strong graphic expression and light natural cane that lets the light shine and play through the inlays. Woven cane also ventilates the sideboard efficiently, making it perfect for clothes and textiles as well as electronic devices. Despite its functional design, Air is also a striking eye-catcher of the room, especially when a lamp is placed inside it.
Mathieu Gustafsson has roots in both France and Sweden, and he enjoys combining design traditions of both countries. In the Air collection, the natural materials and clean lines of Nordic design unite with bold elegance of French design. Thanks to its decorative and transparent form, Air can be used as a freestanding room divider or placed against the wall.
