Description

Fredericia's Plan Wood Chair was designed by the British design duo Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby in 2025. The chair's frame is light yet sturdy solid oak, while its seat and back are moulded veneer with a lacquered finish that lets the wood grain show through. The compact and softly rounded Plan Wood Chair works equally well at home around the dining table as it does in restaurants and hotels.

The Plan Wood Chair belongs to the Plan Collection by Fredericia, launched originally in 2022. Alongside the wooden Plan Wood Chair and table, the series also includes steel-framed chairs, tables, and barstools.

Barber & Osgerby

Edward Barber (b. 1969) and Jay Osgerby (b. 1969) are British designers and founders of the London-based studio Barber & Osgerby, established in 1996. Barber and Osgerby studied architecture and interior design at London’s Royal College of Art and since that, they have collaborated in the fields of industrial design, furniture design and architecture. Their clean, streamlined designs are often inspired by folding and shaping of sheet material, and a fine example of their innovative style is the Tip Ton chair published by Vitra.

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

Orders shipped to Australia are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as following:

For private customers:

  • Orders of AU$1,000 or less (goods value only, excluding shipping and taxes):
    • A 10% GST is included in the prices and paid at checkout.
  • Orders over AU$1,000:
    • GST and any applicable import duties are collected by Australian customs upon arrival and must be paid by the recipient. Since GST is collected by customs, it is deducted from the order total at checkout and shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.

Please note that our product pages display prices including 10% GST. As a result, the AU$1,000 threshold effectively applies to orders with a displayed goods value of AU$1,100 or more.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by Australian customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.
