Description

Mifuko's Kiondo shopper basket brings together traditions from across the globe: Scandinavian design and Kenyan handicraft. Made from durable paper and plastic, the basket is ideal as a laundry hamper, toy organiser, general home storage – or as a practical bag for shopping or beach days. The long leather handles add a finishing touch and make it easy to carry on your shoulder.

Mifuko uses recycled plastic wherever possible, and all plastic used in its products is certified food-safe. The beautiful and unique baskets are hand-made in Kenya, and every piece is signed by its creator.

  • Notes Kiondo baskets are folded for transport to save space. You can shape the basket by spraying it lightly with water and then shaping it by hand. See the care instructions for more information.

  • Care instructions Baskets made of paper do not tolerate soaking but can be cleaned with water. Remove any stains as quickly as possible by blotting the stain with a clean, absorbent rag. Do not rub. Let the basket dry airily to avoid misshaping.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

We offer free shipping on small items for orders over
150 €.

For large items, free shipping applies to orders over 3000 €.

“Small item” refers to parcels under 80 cm in length or weighing less than 25 kg. Larger or heavier shipments are classified as “Large item deliveries” (see below).

Please note that the free shipping thresholds stated above may not apply in certain cases. In such situations, any applicable shipping fees will be clearly displayed at checkout.

Large item delivery charge range from 29 € to 149 €  and is automatically calculated and displayed on the product page and at checkout. The exact cost is confirmed once your delivery address has been entered.

Large item delivery charges apply to any single parcel with a side longer than 80 cm or weighing more than 25 kg.

Please note that exceptions to these fees may apply to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of large or delicate items. In such cases, the final delivery cost will be displayed at checkout.

As a member, you’ll enjoy even better free shipping benefits on small items:

  • Level 2: Free shipping for orders over 129 €
  • Level 3–4: Free shipping for orders over 99 €

Exclusions apply: For large item deliveries, an additional surcharge is applied based on your location and the size and weight of your shipment.
