The Modern Art table lamp is together with the Skyflyer lamp one of the best-known designs by Yki Nummi. The Modern Art table lamp was designed in 1955 and is one of those classics that contributed to making Finnish design famous all over the world in the 1950’s. The lamp’s base is made of transparent acrylic and the shade is white acrylic which softly illuminates its surroundings. The Modern Art table lamp by Yki Nummi has been part of the MoMA permanent collection since 1958.
