Vertical pattern from Italy
Artek’s Siena gives a little twist to traditional striped patterns. Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1954, the graphic Siena is inspired by the marble tile walls of the medieval cathedral of Piazza del Duomo. The lively and captivating Siena print was recently introduced in new colors and it charms on curtains, sofa cushions, or tablecloths, among other things.

Highlighted L-leg
If you are afraid of bold prints, rely on one eye-catching stripe! The special edition of Artek's Aalto stool features a hand-painted line. Designer Valerio Di Lucente’s idea was to highlight the most defining element of Alvar Aalto’s design, the L-leg. Multiple stools together create a playful pattern effect.

Horizontal lines
Designed by Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft, the ceramic Omaggio vase enlivens the home both individually and in groups, bringing a modern addition to a table or windowsill. The horizontal lines of the vase are a tribute to the ceramic artist Svend Hammershøi, who often utilized a similar pattern in his creations.
