Johanna Gullichsen's Tilkku tube cushion is decorated with an assortment of beloved patterns: the fun Tilkku fabric combines the familiar Nereus, Doris, Eos, and Tithonus patterns in a surprising and extremely charming way. The Tilkku bolster is a stunning addition to the sofa and brings a cheerful touch of modernized weaving traditions to the bed – and for once you don't have to choose just one pattern, you can have them all! The Tilkku fabric, designed and woven in Finland, was created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Johanna Gullichsen's Normandie collection.

Johanna Gullichsen

Finnish textile designer Johanna Gullichsen was born in Somero, Finland and studied art history, literature and languages at the University of Helsinki before starting her weaving studies in Porvoo. Today, she runs her own brand, which specializes in woven textiles for modern living.

Gullichsen is inspired by handweaving and experimenting with different techniques, and that’s how most of her designs are born. In 2021, Johanna Gullichsen was awarded the Kaj Franck Design Prize, one of the most esteemed design awards in Finland.
