Serax's Sophia jar is a small yet charming storage pot, perfect for keeping sweets, jewelry, small cosmetics, or other everyday treasures neatly tucked under its lid. The practical and decorative storage pot adds a delicate touch to any setting.

Designed by Marie Michielssen, the Sophia collection celebrates the unique beauty of craftsmanship and human-made design. Suitable for both everyday use and special occasions, the pieces blend influences from near and far: the spontaneous brushwork is inspired by Eastern calligraphy, while the rich blue tones echo traditional Delftware, with roots in 17th-century Holland.

Marie Michielssen

Belgian designer Marie Michielssen draws her inspiration from everyday life. In her designs, she likes to combine unexpected materials and is particularly fascinated by old, sometimes even forgotten materials. Typical of her designs is also the use of contrasting colors or materials, but in a way that a certain balance, a certain harmony is preserved. Michielssen’s background as a graphic designer is also often evident in her work. Michielssen has been a house designer for the Belgian lifestyle brand Serax for many years.
