Description
Hem's Min chair has pine to thank for its organic and unique character. The wood grain runs lively across the chair's surface, lending a welcome lightness to an otherwise architecturally solid look. And pine has one more trick up its sleeve: it deepens into a beautifully warm tone as the years go by.
British designer Max Lamb, known for getting the most out of the least, designed the solid wood chair around three pine columns split at an angle. One gives the front legs, another the back legs and backrest, and the third the seat. It's a remarkably economical way to build a chair, and nothing about the result feels compromised. The Min chair is sturdy enough for daily use around a dining table, at a desk, or as an extra seat in the hallway.
