Description

Iconic Atelier by Cozy Publishing invites you on a captivating journey into the homes of ten Finnish artists and designers. Each residence not only mirrors the distinctive artistic visions and interior styles of its occupants but also unveils the personalities and daily lives of these talented creators. The book is penned by Anna-Kaisa Huusko, a journalist, writer and art historian specializing in interior design and architecture, and brought to life through the lens of Niclas Mäkelä's photography.

Step inside the homes of renowned Finnish designers, architects and artists, as Iconic Atelier flings open the doors to ten remarkable 20th-century buildings across Finland. Delve into the private residences of for instance Vuokko and Antti Nurmesniemi, Laila Pullinen, Reidar Särestöniemi, Alvar and Elissa Aalto, Yrjö and Irmeli Kukkapuro and Björn Weckström.

What types of spaces inspire fresh ideas? How does creative work shape the design and décor, leaving behind traditional norms? Join journalist Anna-Kaisa Huusko and photographer Niclas Mäkelä on a journey to explore distinctive homes, summer retreats and studio spaces that merge artistic expression and everyday life in unique ways.
