Normann Copenhagen’s Drape lounge chair invites you to take a well-deserved moment for yourself immersed in a good book, your favorite TV show or perhaps an interesting podcast. The lounge chair’s wool blend upholstery hides a hard molded polyurethane foam with steel reinforcements that makes the chair stable and sturdy, while the soft molded foam of the seat cushion conforms to the contours of your body for added comfort. Drape is therefore ideal not only for living rooms but also for hotel lobbies, office break rooms and various lounge spaces.
The Drape collection has a lot of room for customization from frame material to upholstery and add-ons. This high-back chair with a metal frame is upholstered in Kvadrat’s Hallingdal fabric complete with a matching seat and headrest.

Simon Legald (b. 1986) is a Danish designer and the head designer of Normann Copenhagen. Having graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2012, Legald began his long and prolific collaboration with Normann Copenhagen soon after graduating. In Legald’s work, craft traditions meet industrial processes, and his style is marked by a modern simplicity in which function and visual esthetics are kept in careful balance.
One of Legald’s best-known works is the Form chair collection, which was honored with the iF Design Award in 2016.

The Danish designer Simon Legald is known for his clear, purposeful design language and his use of genuine, honest materials.
Legald graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2012 and rose quickly to international renown through his collaboration with Normann Copenhagen. Today, he works as the company’s Head of Design.
