Sika-Design’s Caroline lounge chair is a rattan armchair with a clean, airy design. The seat cushions are designed for outdoor use and feature removable, machine-washable covers. 

The Caroline lounge chair is woven by hand from Indonesian, sustainably sourced rattan, making each chair one of a kind, with the natural material adding to its unique charm: rattan is characterized by a lively surface with varying shades or annual growth rings.

Rattan is a tropical species of wood that thrives best in slightly humid conditions – the chair should therefore not be placed next to a fireplace or other heat source. In outdoor use, rattan tolerates temperature fluctuations well, but it is advisable to place the rattan furniture under a canopy, for example, to protect it from the scorching sun as well as rain and snow. The garden chair can also be protected with a weather-resistant cover or stored indoors when not in use.
