Flos’s Seki-han pendant lamp blends the traditions of Italian design with Japanese influences. Suspended from thin cables, the long, horizontal ceiling light is composed of chromed metal details and two rotating ash wood panels. By adjusting the angle of these wooden elements, the character of the light can be modified – from bright and focused to a soft, diffuse glow. The lamp features a dimmable integrated LED tube, but it can also accommodate standard T8 bulbs.
Designed by Tobia Scarpa, the Seki-han collection takes its name from a Japanese rice dish served only on special occasions. The warm wooden lights draw inspiration from the lighting technology once used on ships. Originally produced between 1963 and 1966, the Seki-han series has been reintroduced by Flos in 2025, updated with new models and modern technology.
