Lapuan Kankurit’s Sumu cushion cover is brought to life by Maija Fagerlund’s subtly textured weave. Unlike most patterns that follow some form of structure, Sumu – meaning fog in Finnish – was intentionally designed to be as irregular as possible. Its dense, mist-like surface reveals no recognisable rhythm, evoking the soft unpredictability of fog.
Ideal for styling both sofas and beds, the Sumu cushion cover works beautifully on its own, as part of a soft cloud of matching cushions, or paired with other patterns. The woollen cushion cover is woven at Lapuan Kankurit’s own mill in Finland using wool from Finnsheep and Finnsheep crossbreeds sourced from nearby farms, combined with certified Wool Integrity NZ fibre.
