FontanaArte’s Fontana table lamp was designed by Max Ingrand in 1954. The unique character of Fontana table lamp is based on its fully translucent design: both the lampshade and base are made of frosted white glass that diffuses smooth, softly glowing light. With its harmonic yet eye-catching character, Fontana table lamp is a timeless gem of design and glass art. The dual switch allows you to separately control the lamps inside the base and the shade.

Max Ingrand

Max Ingrand (1908-1969) was a French glass master and decorator who was famous for his glass objects as well as the stained glass windows he designed for various notable churches. During 1954–1967, Ingrand was the artistic director of the Italian lighting company FontanaArte, and in 1968, he founded Verre Lumière, one of the world’s first producers of halogen lamps.
