Description

The Palissade Cord dining armchair updates the look of HAY's beloved Palissade range. The stylish chair still features the same familiar curved frame, but instead of the usual steel, the Palissade Cord armchair's seat is made from recycled polyester cord, adding a summery lightness to the chair's otherwise robust appearance.

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec spent no less than two years refining the Palissade range and it paid off! The result is a sturdy yet extremely elegant collection of outdoor furniture with a graphic look that is suitable for terraces, balconies, gardens and public spaces alike. The Palissade collection is designed to stand the test of time and weather, and its components make it easy to put together a functional outdoor furniture set for the home or summerhouse.

  • Notes The Palissade Cord Collection is handcrafted so minor imperfections are natural. Avoid contact with non-colourfast items to prevent stains. Check gliders and endcaps regularly for wear and replace if needed. New gliders can be ordered from our customer service. Store furniture in a dry, ventilated area and protect it from weather and damage with the Palissade Cover. Keeping the cord dry will extend its lifespan.
  • Care instructions Remove stains, liquids, and bird droppings promptly, and dry the furniture after rain to prevent corrosion. When moving, don't drag but lift the furniture to avoid damage. Clean with a soft cloth, water or neutral detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals or scouring pads. Repair scratches with lacquer sold separately. Clean cords gently and dry thoroughly to prevent mould and extend lifespan. Some natural discoloration is expected.

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec

The Bouroullec brothers, Ronan (born 1971) and Erwan (born 1976) are born in Brittany, France and their design office is situated in Paris. The brothers have emerged as one of the most succesful designers in France and they have designed to companies such as Artek, Iittala, Vitra, Alessi, Magis, Flos and Hay. The Bouroullec brothers have also won numerous awards, for example the Steelwood Chair for Magis won the prestigious Compasso D'Oro in 2011.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

We offer free shipping on small items for orders over
CHF 178.

For large items, free shipping applies to orders over CHF 2400.

“Small item” refers to parcels under 80 cm in length or weighing less than 25 kg. Larger or heavier shipments are classified as “Large item deliveries” (see below).

Please note that the free shipping thresholds stated above may not apply in certain cases. In such situations, any applicable shipping fees will be clearly displayed at checkout.

Large item delivery charge range from CHF 50 to CHF 150  and is automatically calculated and displayed on the product page and at checkout. The exact cost is confirmed once your delivery address has been entered.

Large item delivery charges apply to any single parcel with a side longer than 80 cm or weighing more than 25 kg.

Please note that exceptions to these fees may apply to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of large or delicate items. In such cases, the final delivery cost will be displayed at checkout.

As a member, you’ll enjoy even better free shipping benefits on small items:

  • Level 2: Free shipping for orders over CHF 150
  • Level 3–4: Free shipping for orders over CHF 120

Exclusions apply: For large item deliveries, an additional surcharge is applied based on your location and the size and weight of your shipment.
