Description

HAY’s Pastis armchair is a sturdy and characterful wooden chair that looks equally good by a dining table at home as well as in a restaurant setting. Thanks to its great seating comfort and durable, stackable design, Pastis will easily find its place in offices and public spaces as well.

When designing the Pastis chair, the French designer Julien Renault wanted to create an extremely versatile chair that would bring warmth, elegance and the feel of high-quality craftsmanship to any space. The Pastis chairs are made of veneered wood and are available in a range of finishes.

Julien Renault

Julien Renault is a French-born designer based in Brussels. He has studied industrial design in ESAD Design & Art School in Portugal and ECAL in Switzerland, and worked for example at Studio Bouroullec in Paris. In his own studio, Renault has designed furniture and accessories for brands including Mattiazzi and Hem, and he also engages in creative direction and photography.
