Description

The Montana Free 300000 shelf is a playfully minimalist storage unit with four slim MDF shelves supported by a sturdy metal frame. This Montana Free shelf is perfect as a bookcase in the office, a tableware shelf in the kitchen, or a display unit for decorative items in the living room. Its delicate lines and airy design make it an ideal storage solution also for smaller spaces.

Designed by Jakob Wagner in 2018, the Montana Free collection features shelving systems in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colours. The components of the series can be mixed and matched into larger storage systems, and it’s possible to customise the shelves with separately sold textile panels. Like all Montana Furniture products, the Montana Free shelves are made in Denmark and carry the EU Ecolabel certification, reflecting their commitment to sustainability.

Jakob Wagner

The Danish designer Jakob Wagner (b.1963) graduated from the Art Center in Montreux, Switzerland in 1992. Directly after graduating he established his own studio in Copenhagen. Today he is one of the foremost designers of Scandinavia and his work has been presented in the biggest museums of the world like MoMA. 

Wagner aims to create a harmony between opposites as femininity and masculinity in his work. According to himself: ” This challenges our senses, makes an object come alive and touches us on an emotional level. "
