Description

The Kangaroo lounge chair's design language consists of a simple, appealing, and well-known shape. In the 1950s, designer Pierre Jeanneret teamed up with his cousin Le Corbusier on several architectural projects for public spaces in Chandigarh. The Kangaroo lounge chair, which is made up of three flat elements, was also born as part of the project. The beautiful teak frame and cane of the Kangaroo lounge chair create a natural atmosphere in the living room or other relaxing space.

Pierre Jeanneret

Pierre Jeanneret (1896–1967) was a Swiss architect and designer, best known for his long-term collaboration with his cousin Le Corbusier. Together, the duo created numerous influential modernist architecture and design projects that left a lasting impact on both modern architecture and furniture design. Jeanneret is particularly recognised for his contributions to the urban planning of Chandigarh, India, where he led the design of public buildings with their interiors. His iconic teak and woven cane furniture remains highly sought after, seamlessly combining timeless aesthetics with practicality.
