Teemu Järvi's Sabre-Toothed Cat poster features the large, long-fanged feline that once roamed South America during the Ice Age. The sabre-toothed cat went extinct around 11,000 years ago, likely due in part to the disappearance of large herbivores it preyed upon.
The illustration is part of the Giants of the Ice Age series, originally created by Finnish artist Teemu Järvi for the exhibition of the same name at the Heureka Science Centre. Printed in Finland using offset technique on environmentally friendly matte paper, the poster pairs beautifully with wooden poster hangers – the 40 cm size fits this design best.
