Description

Örsjö’s Ranka pendant light draws inspiration from the reaching tendrils of a vine and the winding, organic forms found in nature. Designed by Jonas Bohlin, the Ranka light features branch-like arms made from powder-coated steel, each finished with copper-toned lamp holders at the tips. You can choose the E14 bulbs that best suit your space, and thanks to the adjustable lamp heads, the direction of the light can be tilted and tailored to your needs.

At once sculptural and softly organic, the Ranka pendant lamp makes a striking yet harmonious addition above a dining table, coffee table or workspace, offering both atmospheric lighting and strong visual character.

Jonas Bohlin

Jonas Bohlin (b. 1953) is considered as one of the best designers in Sweden. He graduated from the Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, Stockholm, in 1981 where he was later on Professor of Furniture Design, from 2004 to 2009. He was also the founder of the Department of Design at Beckmans School of Design, Stockholm, and one of the founders of the Swedish company Klong.

His first success was the Concrete chair in 1981. The Concrete chair by Jonas Bohlin was his final project at the Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design and created a debate in the design community on what is more important, shape or function. The chair was a piece of sculpture, made of steel and concrete. The Concrete chair was produced in a limited edition and is currently a collector’s item.

Jonas Bohlin has a broad professional experience and his works range from furniture, glass, textiles and light fittings to art objects and installations. Among his projects, the most famous is the LIV project, an eighteen months long happening, including the building of a boat and a three month rowing session on the channels of Europe, from Stockholm to Paris. LIV is the Swedish word for life and during this project Jonas Bohlin was inspired to create new designs which are now part of the LIV collection. Many of the items of this collection are still carried by Klong today.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

Orders shipped to Australia are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as following:

For private customers:

  • Orders of AU$1,000 or less (goods value only, excluding shipping and taxes):
    • A 10% GST is included in the prices and paid at checkout.
  • Orders over AU$1,000:
    • GST and any applicable import duties are collected by Australian customs upon arrival and must be paid by the recipient. Since GST is collected by customs, it is deducted from the order total at checkout and shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.

Please note that our product pages display prices including 10% GST. As a result, the AU$1,000 threshold effectively applies to orders with a displayed goods value of AU$1,100 or more.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by Australian customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.

We want you to love your purchase—that’s why we offer 30-day returns.

Please note that the right to return products does not apply to:

  • Custom-made products which are ordered from the manufacturer according to the customer's wishes.
  • Custom-cut items (including fabrics and replacement webbing).

Please note that returns are subject to a restocking fee, which varies depending on your region and the item being returned. The restocking fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.

Please find detailed return instructions and detailed information about return policy here: Returns

Please note that the return policy only applies to private customers.

GST & Import Charges

By providing a valid Australian Business Number (ABN), you confirm that you are registered for GST in Australia. In this case, GST is collected by Australian customs and therefore deducted from the order total at checkout. This deduction is shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.
