Description

Skultuna’s Ballerina bowl is a gorgeous vessel, designed by design studio Claesson Koivisto Rune, that boasts a minimalist form crafted from brass. The bowl’s reduced form also features a hidden detail: the bottom is completely round, allowing it to sway delicately like a ballet dancer.

The Ballerina bowl is made of high-shine polished brass. If you want the surface to stay shiny, it is recommended to polish the brass regularly – it is characteristic for untreated brass to become darker over time, and water or grease may leave marks on its surface. However, this is a matter of taste, and many actually prefer to let brass patinate beautifully.

Claesson Koivisto Rune

Claesson Koivisto Rune is one of the foremost design and architectural offices in Scandinavia. It was founded in Stockholm in 1995 by Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune. Claesson Koivisto Rune started as an architectural office but is nowadays multi-disciplinary, concentrating on both architecture and design projects.

Amongst their commissions, there are houses such as the Sfera Building in Kyoto, interiors such as the Operakällaren gourmet restaurant in Stockholm, as well as designs for manufacturers such as Iittala, David Design and Cappellini. For Iittala, Claesson Koivisto Rune designed the Neo range. Neo is exceptionally distinguished, ergonomic and of lasting quality. The Neo pots have a unique ergonomic feature that also became the aesthetic feature. They have “open” handles that turn down with a slight outward angle. Claesson Koivisto Rune’s works have received numerous awards and they were the first Swedish architects ever to be exhibited in the international section of the Venice Architecture Biennale (2004).

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

Orders shipped to Australia are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as following:

For private customers:

  • Orders of AU$1,000 or less (goods value only, excluding shipping and taxes):
    • A 10% GST is included in the prices and paid at checkout.
  • Orders over AU$1,000:
    • GST and any applicable import duties are collected by Australian customs upon arrival and must be paid by the recipient. Since GST is collected by customs, it is deducted from the order total at checkout and shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.

Please note that our product pages display prices including 10% GST. As a result, the AU$1,000 threshold effectively applies to orders with a displayed goods value of AU$1,100 or more.
