The Double Bubble series of lamps is one of the most recent designs by the celebrated Finnish designer Eero Aarnio. The Double Bubble or Tupla Kupla - as it known in Finnish - comes in three sizes, two table lamps and one monumental standing lamp. Initially created from blown glass, the Double Bubble was ultimately cast in plastic to ensure durability and uniform color of light. To evenly light the curvy surface, each lamp is fitted with three light sources: one in each bubble and one in the leg. To complement the light slightly stronger lamps are used in the larger of the bubbles.
