Flos’s Nocturne 1 floor lamp combines a minimalist aluminum stem with a bowl-shaped shade made from hand-blown borosilicate glass. The height of the shade can be freely adjusted by sliding it along the stem. Dimmable LED modules direct light both upwards and downwards, providing both focused reading light and soft ambient illumination.
Designed by Konstantin Grcic, Nocturne represents a modern esthetic rooted in industrial design traditions. It works equally well beside a sofa or armchair in the living room as it does in a bedroom or hallway.
