DCWéditions’ In The Sun table lamp consists of a steel base, glass cover and a fascinatingly bent metal mesh shade, which allows In The Sun to create not only gentle lighting around it, but also a beautiful halo resembling sunlight. The gold- or silver-toned table lamp is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the light to suit any mood.
French designers Dominique Perrault and Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost designed the In The Sun lamp for the Dufour pavilion of the Palace of Versailles, which was renovated in 2016 by Perrault’s architectural office. In addition to the light patterns created by the shade, the name of the lamp, In The Sun, refers to the Sun King Ludwig XIV, who once held his court in Versailles.
