Francesco Favagrossa (1923 – 2022) is an Italian designer and the founder of Fiam, a family business best known for its garden furniture. Favagrossa began his career in the post-war period by assembling motorcycles from abandoned parts left by American soldiers. In the 1970s, he turned his attention to exploring the possibilities of metal furniture and ultimately founded his own company, Fiam, in 1975, together with his children. Favagrossa has since designed the majority of the garden furniture in Fiam's catalog.
