String Furniture – Modular storage and shelving systems since 1949

Founded in 1949, String Furniture began when architect and designer Nils Strinning and his wife Kajsa designed a modular shelving system for their home, known as the String System. Their innovative approach combined practicality with minimalist beauty, leading to immediate success. Throughout his career, Nils Strinning received numerous awards and accolades, including the gold medal at the Milan Triennale.

Over the years, String Furniture has focused heavily on product development while staying true to its original design philosophy. In 2023, the company launched a new outdoor shelving system, bringing String's timeless design to gardens and balconies.
