Marcel Gascoin

Marcel Gascoin (1907–1986) is known as one of the leading designers of post-war France. Driven by his social conscience and aptitude for combining clean-lined esthetics with rational manufacturing processes, Gascoin played an important role in the reconstruction of the country. During the post-war housing crisis, Gascoin was employed by the French Ministry of Reconstruction and Urbanism to design homes and elegant yet functional furniture, many of which have since become sought-after design classics.
