Description

The Soft Edge chair from HAY, as its name suggests, features a pleasant, rounded design: the edges of the backrest and seat curve back eliminating sharp edges and corners. Iskos-Berlin has utilized the latest innovations in moulded plywood that allow new three-dimensional forms and reduced consumption of natural resources. The lightweight and stackable Soft Edge chair is well suited for homes and public spaces alike.

In 2021, Hay renewed the surface treatments of its wood furniture by replacing the paints and lacquers with water-based alternatives. At the same time, the name of the Soft Edge 12 chair was changed to the Soft Edge 60 chair. Please note that hue is slightly different in the new and old version. The new water-based lacquer is glossier than the matte lacquer previously used, but slightly more matte than HAY’s previous clear lacquer.

Iskos-Berlin

Copenhagen based Iskos-Berlin is a partnership between the designers Boris Berlin and Aleksej Iskos. Founded in 2010, Iskos-Berlin works in furniture design and also industrial and graphic design. The creative duo experiments with new techniques and materials to see what kind of an impact they have on everyday objects.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

15% GST is included in all prices presented on our website.

Private customers: For orders of NZD$1,000 or less, a 15% GST is included in the prices. For orders over NZD$1,000, GST is collected by New Zealand customs and therefore deducted from the total amount. The deduction is visible in the cost breakdown at checkout.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by local customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.

Please note that the right to return products does not apply to:

  • Custom-made products which are ordered from the manufacturer according to the customer's wishes.
  • Custom-cut items (including fabrics and replacement webbing).

Please note that returns are subject to a restocking fee, which varies depending on your region and the item being returned. The restocking fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.
