Roo rocking horse, birch veneer
Description
Articul's Roo is a light, nimble rocking horse by Latvian designer Aldis Circenis – a real delight in any child's room. Its simple shape might suggest a horse, but equally a dog, a cat or even a sheep; with this little creature, the exact species hardly matters! What does matter is Roo's endearing character and its light yet sturdy build, which makes it easy for a child to carry their rocking companion wherever they like. Made from bent plywood and veneer and finished with rounded corners, Roo is a great fit also for public spaces, and its stackable design means several rocking toys can be stored away with ease, without taking up much room.
Made in Latvia, Roo earned an iF Product Design Award in 2013 and a German Design Award: Special Mention in 2014.
