Description

Muuto’s Ply rugs have an attractive, lively surface due to their multi-coloured weft. The woven tassels function as delightful details and, together with the zigzag pattern, activate the design of the rug – the impression is both calm and visually stimulating. The Ply collection is designer Margrethe Odgaard’s vision of rugs that are not only textile surfaces on the floor but objects as well. The rugs are hand-woven of 100% New Zealand wool and come in a number of beautiful colour combinations. Choose the largest size for the living room or for the dining area, or opt for the narrow rug for a stunning hallway runner.

  • Care instructions For regular cleaning, vacuum the rugs. Clean stains instantly with sparkling water. The rugs should be turned every 6 months for maintenance purposes.

Margrethe Odgaard

Margrethe Odgaard (b. 1978) is an award-winning Danish textile designer who strives to find new applications for colours and patterns. She graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2005 having first studied fashion design and then majored in textile design. Before founding her own studio in 2013, Odgaard worked for The Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia and the French fashion brand EPICE.

Odgaard has designed both textiles and furniture for a number of well-known Nordic brands such as Muuto, Skagerak, Hay, IKEA and Georg Jensen. She also works together with designer Chris L. Halstrøm under the name Included Middle, and in 2016 their Vivlio shelving system won the Red Dot Award. In the same year, Odgaard received the Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Prize, which is the world’s largest annual design award.

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

15% GST is included in all prices presented on our website.

Private customers: For orders of NZD$1,000 or less, a 15% GST is included in the prices. For orders over NZD$1,000, GST is collected by New Zealand customs and therefore deducted from the total amount. The deduction is visible in the cost breakdown at checkout.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by local customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.
