Description

HAY’s Deville chair feels right at home on a small balcony, in a spacious garden, or on the terrace of a café or restaurant. Emphasised proportions give the lightweight aluminium chair a relaxed, friendly character that practically invites you to sit back and enjoy the sunshine.

Designed by Julien Renault, the Deville collection adds a fresh chapter to HAY’s outdoor furniture range. The Deville outdoor pieces come in many different colours that also pair beautifully together – choose your favourites or mix and match shades for a more playful summer look! The Deville furniture is made from partly recycled aluminium.

  • Care instructions Wipe with a clean cloth dampened with water or a mild detergent solution. Dry the surface and remove any soap residue. Avoid abrasive cleaners and pads. The lifespan of the furniture depends on weather conditions and use – we recommend storing it in a dry, well-ventilated space during winter. Wipe off rain or snow promptly and remove sun cream or other liquids after use to prevent staining.

Julien Renault

Julien Renault is a French-born designer based in Brussels. He has studied industrial design in ESAD Design & Art School in Portugal and ECAL in Switzerland, and worked for example at Studio Bouroullec in Paris. In his own studio, Renault has designed furniture and accessories for brands including Mattiazzi and Hem, and he also engages in creative direction and photography.

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

15% GST is included in all prices presented on our website.

Private customers: For orders of NZD$1,000 or less, a 15% GST is included in the prices. For orders over NZD$1,000, GST is collected by New Zealand customs and therefore deducted from the total amount. The deduction is visible in the cost breakdown at checkout.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by local customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.

Please note that the right to return products does not apply to:

  • Custom-made products which are ordered from the manufacturer according to the customer's wishes.
  • Custom-cut items (including fabrics and replacement webbing).
