GUBI’s Grace lounge chair is an exquisite rattan beauty whose soft lines reflect designer Tove Kindt-Larsen's penchant for natural shapes: the chair's design is inspired by the smooth pebbles and pieces of driftwood Kindt-Larsen liked to collect from the sandy shores of the north coast of Denmark. The Grace chair was originally designed by Kindt-Larsen as early as 1936 but did not end up in production until 2021 when the chair's sketches were found in Kindt-Larsen's archives.
The Grace lounge chair is made from Indonesian rattan, which is steamed and bent into shape by local artisans. Each chair is therefore a handsome example of skillful artisanship, with its unique character accentuated by the beautiful shade variation typical of the natural material.
