Paper Collective's Azahares poster invites you to the world of Mexican artist Berenice Hernandez. Drawing inspiration from the bold and graphic aesthetics of Mexican pop art, Hernandez pays homage to her roots with abstract orange blossoms, or "Azahares" in Spanish, known for their sweet citrus fragrance.
In this artwork, the double-ended blossom takes centre stage, flowing gracefully as the central motif. Its gentle hues provide a beautiful contrast to the vivid graphic elements. Encircled by a tapestry of vibrant colours, the piece strikes a harmonious balance between boldness and tranquillity. Berenice Hernandez is a Mexican artist with a background in graphic design and art direction. She works with various techniques, such as illustration, engraving, painting and textile art. Hernandez runs her own studio in the north of Mexico, and the colours and themes of her works are often inspired by the local nature, especially botany.
