Teemu Järvi's Woolly Mammoth poster features the thick-furred, tusked giant that once roamed Ice Age Finland. Adapted to extreme cold, the woolly mammoth was a common sight on the steppe-tundras of the Ice Age but eventually disappeared due to post-glacial warming and human influence.
The illustration is part of the Giants of the Ice Age series, originally created by Finnish artist Teemu Järvi for the exhibition of the same name at the Heureka Science Centre. Printed in Finland using offset technique on environmentally friendly matte paper, the poster pairs beautifully with wooden poster hangers – the 40 cm size fits this design best.
