TIPTOE's Venezia coffee table consists of the French brand’s trademark metal legs and a magnificent terrazzo-inspired table top, which makes each table completely unique. Unlike traditional terrazzo, however, the table top is not made of natural stone, but the idea was to utilize a material that normally has a fairly short lifespan – yoghurt pots, that is.
Each individual table top requires around 100 yoghurt pots and several steps from collecting and chipping to pressing them into the desired form. The different coloured dots on the white surface of the table top make the table characterful and unique, but at the same time recall the previous life of the material: the spots are actually remnants of the pots’ labels.
