Artemide's Tolomeo Mega is a generously sized but slender floor lamp whose silk-coated shade fills the space with smooth, white light. Tolomeo Mega is a bold eye-catcher also in large, open spaces – its height can be adjusted from 1,5 metres to over 3 metres, and the lamp shade has a diameter of 42 cm.
The lightweight Tolomeo collection by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina received the famous Compasso d'Oro award in 1989. It was credited with having achieved the perfect balance between design and engineering.
