Pieni Unikko cushion cover, 50 x 50 cm, peach - cotton
Description
Marimekko’s Pieni Unikko cushion cover features Maija Isola’s iconic floral pattern in hues of peach and cotton. This Pieni Unikko cushion cover is made of partially recycled and unbleached cotton, which has been printed in Helsinki, Finland. Please note that the covers are made using the entire length of the fabric, which means that the pattern placement and colours may vary.
The Unikko pattern came about in 1964 after Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko, had announced in public that no floral fabrics are designed at Marimekko. Maija Isola did not accept rules or restrictions and designed in protest a complete collection of bold floral patterns: Unikko, a Finnish word that means poppy. Today, Unikko is one of Marimekko's best-known patterns and is recognized worldwide.

Kiva rauhoittava väriyhdistelmä. Kangas rypistyy kuitenkin helposti.
