A pioneer of the Bauhaus movement, Breuer was characterised by Time magazine as one of the ”form-givers of the 20th century”. Written by Arnt Cobbers, a freelance author specialising in architecture, the book is part of Taschen's Basic Architecture series that presents life and work of internationally renowned architects with approximately 120 photographs, sketches and drafts. The series has been edited by German art historian Peter Gössel.
