Description

Alessi’s Eugenia champagne bottle stopper is the perfect complement to Naoto Fukasawa’s tableware collection, designed to serve both everyday and more special occasions alike. Made from stainless steel, the stopper features a stylish octagonal shape that is not just an aesthetic choice, but also ensures a firm grip. The stopper is specifically designed for champagne bottles and is equipped with a silicone insert that perfectly adapts to the bottle’s neck, protecting the wine from oxidation and spoilage.

The name of the Eugenia collection pays homage to Alberto Alessi's winery "La signora Eugenia e il passero solitario," translating to "Mrs. Eugenia and the Lonely Sparrow". Inspired by the gentle geometry of the wine bottles themselves, Fukasawa designed each piece of Eugenia tableware with softly faceted contours. This design language connects the entire series in a harmonious, unmistakably Alessi way.

Naoto Fukasawa

Naoto Fukasawa (b. 1956) is a Japanese designer known for his refined and quietly innovative approach to industrial design. He graduated from Tama Art University in 1980 and worked as a designer at Seiko-Epson until 1988. In 1989, Fukasawa moved to the United States to join the design firm ID two (now known as IDEO) in San Francisco.

After eight years abroad, he returned to Japan and founded his own Tokyo-based studio, Naoto Fukasawa Design, in early 2003. That same year, he launched his own brand, ±0, focused on creating simple, functional everyday objects. In addition to his design work, Fukasawa teaches product design at both Musashino Art University and Tama Art University.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

We offer free shipping on small items for orders over
CHF 178.

For large items, free shipping applies to orders over CHF 2400.

“Small item” refers to parcels under 80 cm in length or weighing less than 25 kg. Larger or heavier shipments are classified as “Large item deliveries” (see below).

Please note that the free shipping thresholds stated above may not apply in certain cases. In such situations, any applicable shipping fees will be clearly displayed at checkout.

Large item delivery charge range from CHF 50 to CHF 150  and is automatically calculated and displayed on the product page and at checkout. The exact cost is confirmed once your delivery address has been entered.

Large item delivery charges apply to any single parcel with a side longer than 80 cm or weighing more than 25 kg.

Please note that exceptions to these fees may apply to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of large or delicate items. In such cases, the final delivery cost will be displayed at checkout.
