Spring Copenhagen's The Country Mouse figurine is a handmade wooden mouse whose adorable appearance with a turning head and leather ears and tail is a delight for every animal lover.

The Country Mouse's best friends are, of course, other wooden animals of the Spring Copenhagen family – especially the urban cousin, The City Mouse. Designed by Chresten Sommer, the delightful wooden mouse has been crafted from certified oak and ash. The Country Mouse adds a touch of joy and cosiness to the interior, both in the kids’ room and in the rest of the home.

Chresten Sommer

Chresten Sommer has worked for many years as a boat builder. Sommer ended up becoming a designer when a little girl and her mother were visiting his workshop and the girl asked Sommer to make a small wooden figure for her. Inspired by Kay Bojesen's animal figures, Chresten Sommer began designing a variety of wooden figurines, the most popular of which are the mother seal and baby seal, now in Spring Copenhagen’s collection.

    Une petite souris attendrissante ! Son expression change selon la façon dont on pose la tête sur le corps - plus ou moins inclinée. La fabrication est particulièrement astucieuse et soignée. Je suis conquise et j'achèterai d'autres objets de cette "famille". Dommage seulement que le prix connaisse des variations qui me semblent incompréhensibles...
