Spring Copenhagen's Ella the Elephant Calf figurine is a handmade wooden elephant whose adorable appearance with a turning head and moving legs is a delight for every animal and savannah lover. 

Ella's best friends are, of course, other wooden animals of the Spring Copenhagen family – especially the father elephant Ollie. Designed by Chresten Sommer, the delightful wooden elephant has been crafted from certified oak and maple. Ella the Elephant Calf adds a touch of joy and cosiness to the interior, both in the kids’ room and in the rest of the home.

Chresten Sommer

Chresten Sommer has worked for many years as a boat builder. Sommer ended up becoming a designer when a little girl and her mother were visiting his workshop and the girl asked Sommer to make a small wooden figure for her. Inspired by Kay Bojesen's animal figures, Chresten Sommer began designing a variety of wooden figurines, the most popular of which are the mother seal and baby seal, now in Spring Copenhagen’s collection.
