Description

GUBI’s Beetle outdoor chair elevates the patio or balcony dining area with its elegant, contemporary aesthetic. The plastic dining chair, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, is made of weather-resistant polypropylene, which retains its colour well without fading in both rain and shine. In addition to private homes, the light yet durable garden chair is also perfect for terraces of restaurants and cafés.

GUBI’s Beetle is a collection of elegant and comfortable chairs, designed by Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi. Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi drew their inspiration for the playful chair design from the anatomy of beetles, which is apparent in the delicate, insect-like legs and hard, curved shell. Launched in 2012, the Beetle chair is suitable for a variety of uses and spaces and comes now in several colours and materials.

GamFratesi

GamFratesi studio was founded in 2006 by Danish architect Stine Gam (born 1975) and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi (born 1978). The studio is based in Copenhagen, though Gam and Fratesi are continuously traveling between Italy and Denmark for development and research of new projects. GamFratesi has designed furniture and lighting fixtures to Louis Poulsen, Gubi, Hay, Fritz Hansen and Skultuna, among others.
