Description

Design House Stockholm’s Greenhouse sets greenery on a pedestal and protects it with its sculptural glass ceiling. Worapong Manupipatpong and Ada Chirakranont from Atelier 2+ designed Greenhouse for Wallpaper magazine’s annual Handmade Exhibition, which celebrates craftsmanship in design.

While studying in Sweden the designers were inspired by the surrounding nature and wanted to create a space for it indoors. The end-result is a beautiful object made of ash and glass, perfect for miniature green worlds.

Designer

Atelier 2+ is a Bangkok-based design studio, founded by Worapong Manutpipatpong (b. 1980) and Ada Chirakranont (b. 1980) in 2010. The designers have studied interior architecture at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in Bangkok and received their MFA from Konstfack in Stockholm. They describe their work as somewhere between art and design, theoretical and practical. In addition to art and design, Manupipatpong and Chirakranont are also interested in craft and architecture.
