Description

Marimekko's Unikko pillowcase cover features the iconic floral pattern by Maija Isola in gentle hues of beige, cotton and rose. The pillowcase is made of breathable 100% cotton crepe, and it measures 50 cm x 60 cm. Finish the style with Marimekko's Unikko duvet cover.

The instantly recognizable Unikko pattern came about in 1964 after Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko, had announced in public that no floral fabrics would be made at Marimekko. However, textile designer Maija Isola was not one for rules or restrictions – in protest, she designed a complete collection of bold floral patterns. One of them was named Unikko, Finnish for "poppy", and it quickly became a favourite of Ratia, as well. Today, Unikko is one of Marimekko's best-known patterns, and it adorns a variety of objects from fabrics and bed linen to Sami Ruotsalainen’s clean-lined Oiva tableware collection.

    One case was great. Beautiful in fact. the other had skewed stiching making it unusable. Finnish design never responded to the complaint that the CS bot prompted me to submit. I woudl not buy again.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

Orders shipped to Australia are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as following:

For private customers:

  • Orders of AU$1,000 or less (goods value only, excluding shipping and taxes):
    • A 10% GST is included in the prices and paid at checkout.
  • Orders over AU$1,000:
    • GST and any applicable import duties are collected by Australian customs upon arrival and must be paid by the recipient. Since GST is collected by customs, it is deducted from the order total at checkout and shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.

Please note that our product pages display prices including 10% GST. As a result, the AU$1,000 threshold effectively applies to orders with a displayed goods value of AU$1,100 or more.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by Australian customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.
