Description

Sun - Light of Love is an eye-catching pendant light designed by Tord Boontje and manufactured by the Italian lighting brand Foscarini. As its name suggests, Sun - Light of Love was inspired by the power of the sun: its fixed LED unit is surrounded by a sphere of thin metal strips, allowing the light to glow through it in a stunning yet poetic way. The large and bold pendant light will look amazing, for example, above the dining table or in the living room ceiling.

Designer Tord Boontje describes the pendant light: "Sun – Light of Love is an object that makes it hard to know where it begins and where it ends, like sunlight. It has no clear separation between inside and outside: a geometric presence, but very fluid and organic at the same time."

Tord Boontje

Tord Boontje (b. 1968) is a London-based, Dutch-born industrial designer whose style is characterised by expression of romanticism and strong emotions. Boontje has studied at the Eindhoven Design Academy and London’s Royal College of Art, and he established his own studio in London in 1996. His works have been included in the collections of London’s Victoria and Albert Museum and New York’s MoMA.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

Orders shipped to Australia are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as following:

For private customers:

  • Orders of AU$1,000 or less (goods value only, excluding shipping and taxes):
    • A 10% GST is included in the prices and paid at checkout.
  • Orders over AU$1,000:
    • GST and any applicable import duties are collected by Australian customs upon arrival and must be paid by the recipient. Since GST is collected by customs, it is deducted from the order total at checkout and shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.

Please note that our product pages display prices including 10% GST. As a result, the AU$1,000 threshold effectively applies to orders with a displayed goods value of AU$1,100 or more.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by Australian customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.

Please note that the right to return products does not apply to:

  • Custom-made products which are ordered from the manufacturer according to the customer's wishes.
  • Custom-cut items (including fabrics and replacement webbing).

Please note that returns are subject to a restocking fee, which varies depending on your region and the item being returned. The restocking fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.
