Description

Emeco’s 111 Navy chair is a durable and functional choice for dining rooms as well as outdoor areas. Made from recycled plastic bottles, the 111 Navy chair was developed in collaboration between Emeco and Coca-Cola. 111 recycled PET bottles have been used to manufacture one chair, and it has been reinforced with fibreglass to ensure a strong construction.

Wilton C. Dinges, the founder of Emeco, designed the original Navy chairs in 1944 for the submarines of the United States Navy. Emeco was commissioned by the U.S. government to produce chairs that would withstand the ruthless sea conditions. Thanks to their modern and minimalist look, the Navy chairs are an excellent choice also for contemporary interiors and a wide range of styles. All Emeco products are manufactured in the USA, using mostly recycled materials.

Wilton C. Dinges

Wilton Carlyle Dinges (1916–1974), an American toolmaker with an engineering background, founded the world-renowned Emeco in 1944. During WWII, Dinges designed the extra-durable 1006 Navy chairs for the U.S. Navy, and they have remained among Emeco’s best-known products until today. The Emeco factory, founded by Dinges in 1944, still continues to operate in Hanover, Pennsylvania.

Please note that returns are subject to a return shipping fee, which varies depending on your region and the item being returned. The return shipping fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.

Please find detailed return instructions and detailed information about return policy here: Returns

Please note that the return policy only applies to private customers.

GST & Import Charges

By providing a valid Australian Business Number (ABN), you confirm that you are registered for GST in Australia. In this case, GST is collected by Australian customs and therefore deducted from the order total at checkout. This deduction is shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.
