What’s new: Vaarnii’s Osa outdoor dining chair

Vaarnii's Osa outdoor dining chair is a truly eye-catcher – both for its robust yet comfortable appearance and for its distinctive material.

Even though winter still has its grip, our editorial team can’t help but daydream about the sun-soaked days of spring and the warm summer evenings ahead. Meet Finnish Design Shop’s latest arrival, the Osa outdoor dining chair, which promises just the perfect companion for those magical late-night garden gatherings soon arriving!

FINNISH VAARNII draws on traditional furniture, which, way back in the past, used to be made using local, abundant materials. Inspired by this image, Vaarnii's furniture is also based on practicality and locally available materials – mostly Finnish pine.

The newest addition to their wooden furniture is the Osa dining chair which brings the charm of modern wooden furniture right to your backyard, terrace or garden.

The elegant Osa chair is crafted from an innovative heat-treated pinewood.

The dining chair is part of the wooden Osa outdoor furniture collection, designed by Henrik Tjærby, which also includes garden benches and patio tables. The robust and adapted furniture range embraces traditional carpentry and attracts with its simplistic, timeless design.

The Osa chair emphasizes the natural character of Finnish pine with its naturally changing wood grain patterns.

Heat-treated pine gives the Osa outdoor chair a sturdy, lightweight and weather-resistant structure, all at the same time.

The Osa outdoor dining chair is made of heat-treated natural Finnish pine that can withstand even the most challenging conditions, from pouring summer rain to scorching sunshine. Although the chair may look hard, it is surprisingly comfortable to sit on – in other words, it's the perfect terrace chair for long late-night garden dinners!

Osa-ulkokalusteet viehättävät mutkattomalla designillaan ja sopivat mainiosti yhdisteltäväksi keskenään.

Many may be a little bit unsure that heat-treated pine is a living material that adopts a silver shade over time. No need to worry, however, as the silvery-grey patina only adds an intriguing allure to the look of the Osa chair, making it even more personal and interesting!

However, if you are more of a fan of the original hues of the pine, you can maintain and enhance the shades by regularly oiling the wooden surface of the chair with suitable furniture oil.
