Hello Sofie and Yannick, thank you for taking the time to chat with us! Could you please introduce yourself and tell us about the path that leads you to where you are today?
“Hi, thank you for your interest! We're Sofie and Yannick, two design-loving globetrotters and proud owners of The Plant Corner. Sofie's work and her love for design have led her around the world and those experiences are what form the base of what our shop is all about: beautiful plants in a curated and carefully styled environment.”
Do you have a dream creative project or collaboration?
“We've actually just now finished our dream project, renovating an old townhouse in Antwerp into our own little urban jungle. But during a trip to Lanzarote last winter, we fell in love with the projects of César Manrique and the way he integrated nature into his architecture. We'd like to incorporate his philosophy in our future projects as well.”
What does good design mean to you? What makes a design classic?
“Good design respects natural forms and colors and perfects any space. A well-selected item can change the whole feeling of a room. This also goes for plants by the way!”
